“The Tianjic Chip supports both the application of artificial intelligence displayed by a single paradigm platform and heterogeneous hybrid modelling of a multi-level and multi-force multi-computing paradigm. It is especially suitable for dealing with dynamic, uncertain, complex and multi-modal problems. The Tianjic Chip is in general an excellent computing platform for supporting the development of artificial general intelligence,” said Professor Shi Luping, director of the Center for Brain-Inspired Computing Research at Tsinghua University.

In accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality, objectivity and authority, the organizing committee of the Sixth World Internet Congress established the Recommendation Committee of the World Internet Leading Scientific and Technological Achievements. It comprises 39 Chinese and foreign experts from China, the United States, Germany, Norway, Japan, Australia, Britain, Russia, South Korea and other countries. “There are hundreds of leading scientific and technological achievements collected this year, which are from China, the United States, Germany, Britain, Sweden, Russia and other countries. Voted upon by the Recommendation Committee, the leading scientific and technological achievements will be released at the conference”, said Wu Hequan, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Chinese director of the Recommendation Committee.

The Tianjic Chip, a new brain-inspired computing chip for AGI, has been successfully developed by a team fromTsinghua University. As the industry’s first AI processor with heterogeneous hybrid fusion architecture, the Tianjic Chip combines the technical advantages of computer science and neuronscience, and was hailed as the leading scientific and technological achievement at the Sixth Global Internet Congress. Recently, Professor Shi and his team published a cover article based on the research results of the Tianjic Chip in Nature on August 1st, achieving the breakthrough in China’s zero papers record in the fields of chips and AI.
